You know, that thing that has two wheels and is human powered, probably hanging in your garage, or tucked in the back of your shed. ;) JK. Well, since I was in the Police Academy and discovered that running is not exactly my thing cuz my body hates it with a passion, I have taken up cycling. :)

Since I started doing this this summer, I didn't really do much racing, expect one. I did my first race on September 17th. It was the Wonder Woman Race, and I did 30 miles. This was in Payson, and I completed it in 3 hours, which was my goal. It was super fun. My aunt did it with me and we kept each other company. It was a lot of fun, and this was a major accomplishment for me! My mom and dad were waiting at the finish line, and my mom gave me a big hug! :) Here is a pic of me and my aunt after we finished the race.

As you can see from the above picture, I am wearing University of Utah apparel. I am a student again at the U, and decided to join the cycling team. I wanted to be a part of something, a team or what not. It's been a long time since I've been a part of a group/team, and I have missed it. Road racing doesn't start until next year, but thats ok. :)

For the winter, I have bought an indoor training bike so I can keep training. It is supposed to ship Monday, and I'm super excited to get it. :) It is the Tour de France version from proform. Here's what it looks like:

Once January/February rolls around I am planning on buying me a road bike. :) So if anyone out there actually has knowledge about road bikes, let me know cuz I'm a newbie.

Even though it is only October, I am already planning the races I am going/wanting to do next year. Heres the run down:

Tour de St George, Spring
-For this one I will again do a 30 mile, and it is on April 14.

Salt Lake City Bike Tour
-This one is April 21, and is 25 miles. I am not super sure if I am doing this one yet because I it has to be done in an hour 45 minutes and I've never gone that fast. So we'll see. :)

Little Red Riding Hood
-June 2nd is when this is, and I can't decide how many miles to do. Because the next weekend I'd like to do the:

Rockwell Relay-Moab to St. George
-This is 516 miles, and you have a 4 person team. I really want to do this one, but don't have anyone to do a team yet. Anyone interested?

Rockwell Relay-Ladies Pamperfest Challenge
-This is on July 21, also a relay. It is 163 miles, and a 4 person team. I pretty much have a team for this. :)

I will do the Wonder Woman ride again in September, and probably do 60 or so miles. And then there is a Tour de St George in the Fall as well. So...my summer is pretty much planned, and I'm super excited!

Things going on...

So its about time for my update. :) There has been quite a few things going on lately that have kept me busy. So here goes...

Back in January I was able to go to Oregon for a week. My best friend got home from her mission in December and I was able to go visit her and spend some time with her. It was such a great week. Lets just say we had a lot of fun. :) <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GQYPNrz9Ajw/TcXQBVUPZpI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/pyWL5OOGmSw/s320/163492_595884460891_29004008_33724112_3015623_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604114032652936850" />
As most of you know I was unemployed for 3 1/2 months. Once I got back from my trip in January, I finally started my new job at Beehive Clothing in American Fork. I work for the LDS church as a seamstress. It is such a great atmosphere and such a great job. The hours aren't always my favorite because I'm not a morning person, but I still enjoy my days there. The people that surround me make the days totally worth it and go by fast.

Back in December I finished the Police Academy, but was not able to graduate because I did not pass my physical test. Now that the cold weather is over I have started training for it again. So, I have a goal to pass that test by the end of June, or atleast the end of July. :) I hate running, and so this is really hard for me. But as my mother has pointed out to me, I have never quit anything and I'm not about to start now. Although, I don't think I will be an officer, I still want to pass and be able to graduate. Most of you don't know that when I started the Academy it was because I had been out of school for 10 months, was bored, and wanted to see if I could do it. Eventually someday, I'd like to do the FBI, but I don't think I want to be a local officer.

However, my next adventure starts again this fall. I didn't tell anyone but my mom for a long time, that I had applied for the University of Utah again. Ever since Jr. High I have absolutely LOVED geography, thanks to my amazing teacher. And I have always had this small desire to be a teacher, and teach geography. So, I applied to start on a second bachelor degree, and got accepted. Now, they don't have a specific Geography Teaching degree. So the degree I have to do it called Social Science Teaching, with a built in History Teaching minor. But it only has like 4 geography classes. So, I also decided that I want to double major in Geography so I can get as many geography classes as I possibly can. :) By the time I am done I will have 3 bachelor degrees, haha! I know you probably all think I am crazy, but I love school. So, U of U...here I come again!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 274px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yMTa349Jv7E/TcXQdENoXFI/AAAAAAAAAQY/ZWKqEEjy4Jo/s320/university-of-utah.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604114509098146898" />

Police Academy So Far

So, I just finished my first block of the Police Academy which is called Special Functions Officer (SFO). It was 13 weeks long. It was long, hard, hot, and intense...but oh so worth it!!! The first couple months we did legal classes, defensive tactics, and physical training. Defensive Tactics was by far my favorite. Then we did a lot of Physical Training and more classes. It took me all 13 weeks to pass my PT test, but I finally did it! So, I get to move on with my class and start our next block on Monday which is called Law Enforcement Officer (LEO). This is where we get to do all the fun stuff like firearms, more defensive tactics, and various scenarios outside. We will still be doing classes and physical training, but it will be so much better. Here are some pictures from my SFO block.

Here is a picture of my in my uniform. It's not the best picture, but I will try to get some better ones.

This is me and a fellow cadet in our PT uniforms on test day. On test days we get to wear these lovely blue jersey's as well, haha!

Some of the girls of our class...

Some more girls in our class...

This is one of the nights we did scenarios and acted out various situations. I am over in the corner lounging in a chair, haha.

One night after physical training a bunch of us went to Texas Road house to enjoy ourselves.

Another exciting thing to report is that I went through the temple this past Tuesday, August 17th. I went through the Salt lake Temple to receive my endowment, and it was incredible. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. I will post pictures from that day on facebook soon. :)

Police Academy Update

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Jt1Ip0f_1qI/S6aKBRgdEGI/AAAAAAAAAPA/Hu5v3HZmBsc/s320/Badges_IPS.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451196153462591586" />

So, it has been a few weeks since I wrote about applying for the Police Academy. I figured I would do an update about it. A couple weeks ago I called SLCC to make an appointment to meet with the individuals at the academy so that I could submit my application. I was told that the summer class was full and that I'd be put on a waiting list, but would probably get into the fall class. Now, on the website it tells you to get all of your paperwork completed before even calling them for an appointment. And of course because I'm a perfectionist I did all of my paperwork. Well, there are quite a few documents such as my medical release and driving record that are time sensitive and would expire. So, if I were to have to wait till the fall I'd have to re-do half of my paperwork. I wasn't very excited about this thought so I emailed one of the advisors at the academy and told her of my situation. Needless to say, I had an appointment 2 days later and was accepted into the summer class. :)

So, all the questions I have been getting are things such as, when do you start, what will you be doing, are you going to be working while going to school, etc? So, here are some answers. I start on May 10th. There are two different blocks to the Police Academy. There is the Special Functions Officer block which goes from May-August, and the Law Enforcement Officer block which goes from August-December. So, I will be graduating in mid-December from the Police Academy. I will be working as much as I can while I am attending because I still need to pay the bills. I will be working at Nature's Sunshine until I can find a new job up in the salt lake area. If anyone knows of any good jobs in Salt lake let me know. I would prefer something with Law since I have a Paralegal Degree, but I will take any good job right now. The Police Academy is at night, which is perfect for my schedule. The first block is Monday-Thursdays 5:30-9:30 and Saturday mornings. The second block is Monday-Friday 5:30-9:30 and all day Saturday. Monday's & Wednesday's will be my class nights, and Tuesdays & Thursdays will be my Physical Training/Defensive Tactic nights. So, my life is going to be getting pretty hectic in about 7 weeks, but I am super excited!

To prepare myself to start the Police Academy I broke down and joined a gym. I now go to 24 hours fitness 4-5 days a week after work. 3 days a week I do weight lifting and about 20 minutes of cardio. The other days of the week I do about 40 minutes of cardio, and mainly focus on my 1.5 mile run. Hopefully this will help me get up to the physical fitness standards that the academy requires. If anyone goes to 24 hour fitness in Provo and wants to join me sometime, let me know. Last weekend I also went up to Salt Lake to get fitted for my uniforms. Yes, I said uniforms. I have to wear a officers dress uniform the nights that I have class, and the other nights I have a physical training uniform. Haha! We will see if I post any pictures, depends on how embarrassing it is. :)

Anyways, thats the update for now! Hope your all doing well!

Police Academy

So, I am still working on applying to the Police Academy. I have been working on my paperwork, and exercising like crazy. I just have a few more papers to fill out and get notarized, and my doctor's appointment on Thursday so I can get a medical release, and then I will be ready to apply. I need to make an appointment with SLCC and have them go over my application with me so that I can submit it. Hopefully I can do that next week. :)

As for exercising, I have been busting my butt, literally! haha! I have mainly been focusing on running. There are certain things you have to do to pass the fitness standards for POST (Police Academy). One of them is a mile and a half run. By the time you finish the program you have to be able to run it in just under 15 minutes. When I started running 3 weeks ago I was at 26 minutes. Currently I am at 18 minutes. So, I am getting there. When you enter the academy you only have to run it in 16 minutes, so I'm almost there!!! I'll keep ya posted as things pick up!

Swirling Thoughts

Hello Hello...so, there is a ton going on, alot to think about and consider. But, lets back track for a bit. The holidays were pretty good. Snowboarding on Christmas Eve, babysitting my brothers new puppy on Christmas Eve, then delivering the puppy on Christmas morning, New Years Eve games, and hanging with my friends. :) It was all good and fun. Here are a couple pics:
<img style="float:right; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Jt1Ip0f_1qI/S0ZZPhVpmyI/AAAAAAAAAOo/J2PP1RX5pKY/s320/20139_559210865071_29004008_32661981_1104258_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424120924396428066" />
Me and my friend Jessie snow boarding at Sundance on Christmas Eve.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Jt1Ip0f_1qI/S0ZZdO3Zf1I/AAAAAAAAAOw/URNz_H2PArU/s320/DSCN0523.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424121159955873618" />
Me and my friend Denise putting together a christmas package for our bff Brook on her mission.

So, the holidays were fun, and I was not ready to get back to real life. But alas, here I am. Since I have been out of school I have been super bored and going through school withdrawls as most of you know. I know I know...I am weird. But what can I say, I love school! I won't be going to Law School until Fall 2011, and that is only if I do good on my LSAT when I take it again in June. So...to fill the gap I have considered going through the Police Academy like my dad. I am considering 2 different programs, one at UVU and one at SLCC. Depending on getting accepted I have a couple options. If I do the one at UVU I would start in June and go through August. Then I would have a break until January, and then go through June again. So it would take me a while to finish. If I do the one at SLCC I would start in May and graduate in December. Although, not only is the one at SLCC dependent on me getting accepted, but also on me finding a job in Salt Lake before May. So many options...so many possibilities. What do to, What to do?!?!?!

New Car!

Ok, so I bought a new car, finally!!! I actually got it a couple weeks ago, but I am super super bad at getting on here. I'm working on that. I used to have a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2, which was a small two door sports car. It was a good little car for a little while, but it wasn't super practical for the long run. So, my mom got me started again on looking at cars which I had no intention of doing until next spring. I actually was just going to buy new tires for winter, but a new car is SO much BETTER!!! And here we go...I bought...drum roll....

A 2009 FORD ESCAPE XLT!!!

Here is a stock photo of what my car looks like, same color and everything... (sorry I have not yet taken a picture of mine, its kinda dirty from the snow storms).

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 166px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Jt1Ip0f_1qI/SwyuR5cKVyI/AAAAAAAAAOg/-2tvixn-GlU/s320/ford-escape-0608.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407888875065071394" />

I absolutely LOVE my new car! There are many great features about it that just make me so happy, and I actually love getting in it to drive to work everyday. Also, I'm super happy that this car will last me quite a long time, and is more practical for things like a family, camping, and loading my snowboarding stuff. Haha! I am also super excited to go snowboarding. Anyways, I love my new baby, but I still have yet to name her. :) Any suggestions???

Big Decisions...

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry that it has been so long since I have written on my blog. But there is good reason. Just keep reading and you'll understand.

First things first. I"M GRADUATED!!!! I graduated on August 14th of this year, and received my Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from Utah Valley University. I am pretty stoked to be done with my undergrad, but it is really weird being out of school.

Although after I graduated, the studying didn't stop. I was studying like crazy for the LSAT (Law School Admission Test). I took that test on September 26th, and then started a long 3 week wait for my test results. Although that night I was able to attend a concert with one of my best friends. We went and saw Benton Paul, Michael Johns, and Brooke White! It was a lot of fun,and nice to actually relax for once in my life.

Well, the dreaded 3 week wait ended just over a week ago. I received my LSAT results. I received an email, and seriously looked at the Subject Line for like 3 minutes before I actually opened the email. Then I found out how I did. Unfortunately I did not do very well at all. I was devastated, as most of you know that I can be when I don't do as well as I would like to. This last week has been really hard for me to try and figure out what I am going to do. There isn't a law school that will let me in with the score that I have, so I have to take it again. It's just a matter of when. At first I was going to take it again in December, but I feel like if I push myself even more then I will still not do very well, and I'd rather not waste another $130 dollars. I have pretty much been going to school since I was 5 years old, and have not taken a break at all, so I am pretty burnt out, and have no desire to study. So I have come to the decision to take some time off and relax, and just work. I will be taking the LSAT again in June, after I take a prep class that will cost me a lot of money, haha! But it will hopefully be worth it and get me the score that I need to get into school.

It has been one of the hardest decisions for me to make in my life because I love school so much. It will be hard for me to be out of school for 2 years, but I think its what I need to do. As my closest friends and family have said, God has something else in mind for you for the next year. I just need to have faith that this is what needs to happen and I will be ok. So...that is my decision! I will not be attending Law School til Fall 2011. Crossing my fingers!

Although I am looking for a new job with a legal position. If anyone knows of anything out there, I would greatly appreciate it! Let me know!!!

Best Movie Ever!!!

Everyone should go see The Proposal! My 22nd birthday was on Friday May 22nd! I had a bonfire with a bunch of my friends up provo canyon...here are some pics. :)
This is my Golden Year purse that my friend Angie gave me...she put a bunch of candy with golden wrappers in it. I think it's awesome! This is one of my bestest friends ever, Denise!!! I freakin love this girl!Another one of my good friends, Nicole, made me this cake. I was in awe! It was amazing and tasted great as well. :) So overall, my birthday was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Right after my birthday bonfire I went straight to Salt Lake with my friend Denise. She dropped me off at my other friend Brook's apartment where I slept that night. We were leaving the next morning for Oregon for a vacation. Brook leaves tomorrow for her mission to Louisiana, and so I went home with her for a week to spend some time with her. Here are some pictures from our adventure. :)Brook, Me, and Denise (all of us met freshman year at the U), taking our last picture together before Brook leaves. The next morning (the 23rd), Brook and I got up early and packed her car. We were literally holding stuff in the car trying to shut the back of it. It was so full!!!On the beautiful drive to Oregon! Actually...this is the best part of the drive, when you get into the Northern end of Oregon, driving along the Columbia River, looking at Washington on the other side. The 12 hour drive was a lot of fun! But we were both happy to get to Brook's house. The Portland Temple! It is really pretty!!! This is when we went and hiked Silver Creek Falls. There are about 10 different falls spanning about 7 miles that you can hike around. We made it around about 7 of them which was about 5 miles. It is so beautiful up there, the falls are amazing!!! If you ever go to northern Oregon, go hike these falls, you won't regret it. And of course I had to take a picture of me and Brook. :)Pacific City beach! This was the place that I got the most sunburnt. :) It was such a beautiful day at the beach, and we had a lot of fun! This is one of the best pictures I got while we were there. Again, me and Brook on the beach...this is the last picture I got to take with her for the next year and a half. On Sunday the 31st I came home. I took my first airplane ride. :) It was pretty cool. It was hard to leave Brook in Oregon at the airport, but all is well. The hardest was for me to call her about an hour ago and say goodbye for the last time. I will admit I was crying, but she is one of my best friends. I'm glad I got to spend a week and a half with her before she left. It was definitely a great week. :)

It's been awhile!

So, I haven't blogged in a little while, but I have been super busy with school. Although I am glad to report that I am finished with spring semester....but I start summer semester on Thursday. On a positive note, I graduate after summer semester. :) I can't wait for August to get here!!! So, a lot has happened, but I can't really remember all that I have done. Back in February I do believe is when I went and saw David Archuleta in concert. He was actually really good, I really enjoyed the concert. Also, one of my all time favorite singers was there as well, Benton Paul! The concert was so much fun...I went with three of my favorite people. Denise, Brook, and Jess. :) Right now I don't have any pics on my computer...so I do apologize for lack of photography. Haha

I am really excited for the upcoming month of May though. It is going to be a great month!!! I start my last semester this week. It's been a long four years coming, but I am so glad I can see the end. This next weekend I will be in Salt Lake for my friend Brook's farewell. My 22nd birthday is on the 22nd of May. I guess that means this is supposed to be my golden year...who knows! The 23rd-31st I will be in Oregon with my friend Brook before she leaves on her mission to Louisiana! It is going to be the best week ever! I can't wait to get out and take a vacation. :) So, for right now that is is...I am going to start blogging more though, you can count on that. Hopefully I will have some good summer adventures!!!

Hair cut...

I finally cut my hair! Six whole inches gone!!! I have not cut my hair since about 9th grade, except for just the random trim here and there. So, it was starting to get to me and I just decided to do it. It had been quite a few years since I had been, and two of the kids that went with us had never been, so it was a lot of fun. We went up to Jolly's Ranch up Hobble Creek Canyon. They have a ski trail, snowshoe trail, and other stuff up there as well. This picture was taken when we hiked in as far as we could go and had to turn around. And those of you who know me are probably going, WHAT? YOU HAVE WANTED TO BE A LAWYER SINCE 9TH GRADE! Ok, Ok, Ok, I admit...that is true. But I am so bogged down with 19 law credits at school and am truly looking at what I really want to do. Not to say that I don't love law, I really LOVE law! And I promise I am still going to graduate with a Paralegal degree in August, haha! The situation that I have been thinking of is if I really want to pursue law school at this time, and really commit to being a lawyer for my ENTIRE life, or do I want to pursue some other choices as well and have a more adventureous career. I will still be taking the LSAT this fall instead of June, and keep that in the background. So, my other options I have right now are:

Secret Service & FBI. I am going to go through some of the basics of each one and what I would do and then you can help me try and decide what to do. :) I also have a poll on the right side of my blog where you can vote, haha!

So, my first option that I have considered is the Secret Service. When one thinks of Secret Service you generally think of someone guarding and protecting the president of the united states. This is true, however there are more positions involved in the secret service than just that. There are two seperate positions I am looking at. The first one is that of a special agent. The Secret Service actually deals with a lot of financial crime in the United States, and you can look that up more if you would like to, as well as providing protection. Speical Agents provide protection for the following:

The president, the vice president, (or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President), the president-elect and vice president-elect

The immediate families of the above individuals

Former presidents, their spouses for their lifetimes, except when the spouse remarries. In 1997, congressional legislation became effective limiting Secret Service protection to former presidents for a period of not more than 10 years from the date the former president leaves office.

Children of former presidents until age 16

Visiting heads of foreign states or governments and their spouses traveling with them, other distinguished foreign visitors to the United States, and official representatives of the United States performing special missions abroad

Major presidential and vice presidential candidates, and their spouses within 120 days of a general presidential election

Other individuals as designated per Executive Order of the President

National Special Security Events, when designated as such by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

The next position I am looking at with the Secret Service is that of the Uniformed Division. The Uniformed Division is responsible for security at the White House Complex; the vice president's residence; the Department of the Treasury (as part of the White House Complex); and foreign diplomatic missions in the Washington, D.C., area. Uniformed Division officers carry out their protective responsibilities through a network of fixed security posts, foot, bicycle, vehicular and motorcycle patrols. They also have different associations that they work with including The Countersniper Support Unit, The Canine Explosives Detection Unit, The Emergency Response Team, and magnetometers (metal detectors).
The last position I have looked into is that of a Speical Agent with the FBI. If I were to pursue this direction I would still have to go to law school and get a law degree to be qualified. FBI Special Agents are responsible for conducting sensitive national security investigations and for enforcing over 300 federal statutes. Special Agent's work on matters including terrorism, foreign counterintelligence, cyber crime, organized crime, white-collar crime, public corruption, civil rights violations, financial crime, bribery, bank robbery, extortion, kidnapping, air piracy, interstate criminal activity, fugitive and drug-trafficking matters, and other violations of federal statutes.
So, there are my choices...what do you think?

Up and Coming...

So...I have decided that I am terrible at blogging...I wish my life was exciting enough that I could blog every couple days or so. haha! But, I do have some very exciting things coming up in my life this year, and I thought I would tell about them. :)

Sometime in the next week or two or three...anytime seriously....my brother and sister-in-law are going to welcome their second little girl into the world. I am so excited to have another niece! Little kids are so cute, especially when you can give them back to their mother. :)

I'm looking forward to Spring Break in March, and the semester hasn't even started yet, haha! No, I have a good friend of mine from my law classes that has invited me to go with her over Spring Break. She has a pre-paid, all-inclusive trip to Cancun, Mexico. I'm trying to decide if I want to go with her or not. But whichever the case, I got my first passport just for the heck of it! I want to travel so so so bad!!! Should I go, or stay here?In May one of my bestest friends is getting married. She is from Oregon and we met at the University of Utah our freshman year of college. She is going to get married in the portland temple and I think it would be fun to take a road trip and go!Also, in May is my birthday. I have decided this is going to be a good year. I turn 22 on the 22 of May! So, we'll see what wishes come true this year.

June should be a good month for me, why you ask? Because I will not be as stressed as I will be the next 5 months. Why will I be stressed? Because I have to study for the LSAT in June. Haha I'm looking forward to getting that over with. :)If you think I am looking forward to finsihing the LSAT, I am definitely looking forward to August and GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE!!!! I will be receiving my Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies.
So, that is basically the highlights of my upcoming year so far. Now, writing about yourself in first person is bad enough, try third person. It was fun...and I had a heck of a time getting it together and printing it (obviously "someone" didn't want me to have a biography of myself out there.) So...I thought I would share it with you and you guys can tell me what you think. Here goes....

Amber Lynn Terry

Amber Lynn Terry was born to Mark Allen and Annette Kay Terry in Provo, Utah on May 22, 1987. She is the youngest of four kids; she has one brother and two sisters. Their names are Nathan Allen Terry, Kira Ann Terry, and Felicia Kim Terry Carpenter. Throughout her childhood and teenage years the family resided in Springville, Utah close to extended family. Amber was born into the church and was raised understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since Amber was a young child she has always felt a very close connection with her Grandmother Colleen Jensen who passed away when she was four years old.

Being the youngest, her older siblings were all at school while she was still at home. When she was five Amber decided to ride her brother's skateboard because he wasn't home. She laid down on her belly on the skateboard and proceeded down her neighbor's driveway which was a hill. While riding down, Amber's chin hit the cement and split open. Amber remembers her mother running out of their house screaming, trying to get a hold of her father, and eventually riding to the hospital with her grandparents. Her mom held her in the back seat with a towel pressed to her chin. To this day, Amber is very proud of her scar that she received from this accident.

Amber has an amazing love for music and when she was in sixth grade she started to play the violin. She progressed and perfected her talent at the violin continuing through high school. When she got into high school she also joined a handbell choir and started learning the guitar to expand her musical abilities. Amber's family always praised her about her talents on the violin and enjoyed listening to her play, all except the family dog Copper who would whine when ever she practiced due to the high pitches.

Around ninth grade Amber really started to think about what she wanted to do for college and for a career. Her father was a Deputy Sheriff and she loved talking to him about law. She also took a Business law class in high school and really decided that law was "her thing." Talking about her decision, Amber stated, "When I was a freshman in high school I went back and forth between Medical and Law school, trying to decided what to do. Most people didn't worry about that until they were actually in college, but I did for some reason." As stated by her mother and father, "Amber is a very goal oriented person. Once she sets her mind on something she works very hard until she reaches it. She has always been this way since she was very young."

Amber excelled through high school and always strived to do her best. She always wanted to be the best in every class and it showed when grade reports came in the mail. Her senior year of high school she took an AP Chemistry class and loved it until mid-semester when she got a B+ and dropped the class. What she didn't realize is that a B+ in an AP class is an A+ in a regular class. This experience shows her dedication to her schoolwork, and academic excellence. Amber graduated from Springville High School with High Honors and with the National Honor's Society with a 3.9 GPA.

Throughout her teenage years her family would constantly travel to St. George to visit her grandparents. It was during these trips that she fell in love with the St. George Temple, its beauty and its history. Since that point in time, she has decided that this temple is where she wants to be sealed to the love of her life for time and all eternity. One of Amber's best friends, Jessica Bench, said that, "My first impression of Amber Terry and my impression still today is an enthusiastic, always striving for better, go getter, true friend type of person. Amber is always someone I know I can count on. Whether she is keeping me awake on the phone at one in the morning while I am driving, or showing true genius through simple acts of kindness such as sharing music, or teaching me to sing alto every week. She is very giving of her talents, and not afraid to be herself. She is a true friend that I know I can lean on and trust."

When Amber entered her freshman year of college at the University of Utah, she was on her own for the first time in her life. One thing she liked to do was to put her feelings and experiences into lyrics and compose music on her guitar and violin. She still loved her music and pouring out her soul on paper. Amber's first year of college was filled with excitement, happiness, sorrows, and trials. She found many friends in Salt Lake that helped her through these trying times and continued to learn more and more about the gospel. Throughout the next few years as she transferred down to Utah Valley University and moved home, she went through some of the same experiences she had in Salt Lake. While going through these trials, she learned so much about the Atonement of her loving Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.

From her many life experiences Amber has learned so much regarding the gospel, and gave this testimony:

"I am so grateful to have been born in this wonderful church. I am so grateful for my family and the experiences and lessons I have learned from them, I truly love them. I love this church. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a true prophet upon this earth, and that he did see our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also know that President Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet today, and that his counsel does come from God. I am so grateful for the atonement. That our Heavenly Father sent down Jesus Christ to die for us that we may be forgiven of our sins and return to him someday. I look forward to the day when I will be able to stand at his feet and hear my name. God does live. He teaches us through his leaders of the church that we may be able to follow him. And I know that if we do follow him we may be blessed and return unto him. I thank the Lord every day for the blessings I have and for this gospel. Amen."

Tagged

Ok, so my dear friend Emily who is teaching English in Ukraine right now tagged me. By far one of the best Halloweens I've had in a long time. The night before my friend Tiffany and I were getting music ready for the party she was throwing for Halloween. Well, after doing music for awhile and getting really hyper, we ended up at our friend Jessie's house looking like this.
The next day (Halloween) I had to work most of the day. I didn't dress up at work because I just wasn't in the mood. Plus, I got to wear jeans to work for once in my life :D. These are the three ladies I work with in the legal department for my internship. They are awesome! This is my best buddy, Jessie! Everyone was trying to figure out what she was, but she was the corpse bride. No one really knew who I was. Guess? I was actually Jessie, the other girl in this photo, for Halloween. She is doing a radiology program for school and wears these scrubs every day, and so she let me borrow them. Ok, so these are my two friends Aj, and Brittney. Aj was by far the life of the party, and he loved his costume like no other. My favorite of the night I will say. Britt goes to school in Cedar City and she had driven up that night. It was so much fun to see her. This is my favoritepicture of me and Aj! He is so funny!!!So that was the extent of my halloween partying. It was a lot of fun. I didn't get home til way late in the early hours of morning, and had to get up a few hours later for work, it was not fun. But it was so worth it, and I have the coolest friends ever.

Reba & Kelly Concert

Friday night I was able to go and see Reba and Kelly Clarkson in concert. I was so EXCITED!!!

This is me and my friend Laura, from work, at the concert. We had decent seats, not complaining. The couple next to us was really cute, they were from Meadow. As I was doing video and pictures, the lady leaned over and asked me if I was going to put the pictures on my computer and if I could send them to her. She was really cute.

Here is the view from our seats. It looks kinda far away, but you could actually see pretty well. The stage was awesome!!! By far one of the best concerts I have ever been to, and worth every penny.

At the beginning of the concert, they had Barbara Jean, from the Reba television show, do a comedy part. It was so funny. Even just that would have made it so worth it to go. Towards the middle of the concert, when Reba was going to sing the theme song from the show, she came back out and her and Reba did a bit. It was so funny!!!
Here is a picture of Reba and Kelly on Concert. That is zoomed in, I think its pretty decent. Here is Reba singing on the screen...and here is Kelly singing on the screen.

We had so much fun at the concert. I've seen Reba perform before, but this time i was way more excited. Because her and Kelly were doing a concert together. Like I said before, it was amazing. The video's that I took are to large to load onto here, but I have them on youtube. Here is a link to my site, hopefully all 5 will be there.

http://www.youtube.com/user/Ope522

So, as you can see, it was so much fun! Like my post before, October is going to be one of the best months. First this concert, now I get to go to St. George this coming weekend!!!

Craziness!!!

I know I haven't posted for awhile, but life is crazy! Here is what I do all week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday I go to school from 9-1, then I work from 1:30-6:30 except Monday nights I have another class until 8:30. Tuesday and Thursdays I work from 8-6:30, and Thursday nights I have a class until 9. You really have to love the law to be crazy enough to actually study it. Right now I am taking Civil Litigation, Legal Ethics, Legal Research in the Library, Computerized Legal Research, and Computer Applications in the Law, as well as my internship. I must be crazy!!! Haha

All is well in my life though, I really am enjoying all the crazy! However, right now I don't really have a social life except for mybestest buddy at work. Jocelyn keeps my life sane and though we don't always like our job we make it fun. After work I usually come home, try to get myself to do homework if I have it, and then go to bed. I try to go to bed at 10, but it is usually closer to 11. My dear friend Jocelyn thinks I am somewhat crazy for going to bed at that time cuz she stays up until 2 or 3, and then is somewhat jealous that i get some sleep. Even though I do get some sleep it doesn't seem to matter becaues I seem to be more tired every day.

I have decided not to take the LSAT in December because clearly I do not even have time to study for that. So, I am going to try and get studying in whenever I can at the moment, and be really prepared for it to come in June. Crossing my fingers for this.

October is going to be the best month ever!!! First of all, I am excited to start my internship this week and be in the legal department at work for a few hours a day before I have to get on the phones. I get to go see Reba and kelly in concert on the 10th (see previous post). Then over Fall Break I get to go see my grandma in st. george and I'm going to take her to Les Miserables, my favorite musical!

Still single and trudging along...its all good though! As much as I would love to be in a relationship, I have decided that it is going to happen when it is supposed to happen. You know when people say, "just stop thinking about it, and waiting for it to happen, and then it will just happen out of the blue." Yeah, this is so false. Haha! I have stopped thinking about it, and stopped waiting for it, and it still hasn't happened. Oh well, it will in time and I'm ok with that because I'm almost done with my bachelor degree.

Anyways, thats what's been going on in a nut-shell. Life is great!

Tickets & My Song

Ok, so I'm super stoked! I got home from work today and my tickets for the Reba and Kelly Clarkson concert had arrived. Even though it is not until like October, I am so excited! Me and one of my co-workers are going to it. I hope it is worth it because the tickets were super expensive!!! I don't think I have ever paid that much to get into something in my entire life. After they added on all the fees and parking stuff, the ticket went from like 47 to 69, WOW!!!! But like I said, it should totally be worth it, and we have super great seats not that far from the stage. :) So, yeah, I'm excited!

Also, some people have asked why my blog is named Simple Chaos. Well, to answer your question, it is the name of a song I wrote and composed when I was a freshman in college up at the U of U. I am posting it so tha tyou can all read it. These are just the lyrics. I have the guitar chords and the vocals to it as well. But, you will probably be the only ones to ever see it. Oh well, I still like it. :)

Simple Chaos

The world spins all around me
Life's to busy to take a breath
Nothing ever remains constant
It's all one big mess

Chorus

Spinning around in circles
Work piling up all around
Never enough time to get things done
Life is one big mess

Chorus

My head just keeps on spinning
To much for me to handle
I can't escape my thoughts
They're just one big mess

Chorus

People say to live life
But live it for who?
When I live it for myself
I just end up in a mess

Chorus
I'm only one person
Trying to get through life
The world tries to bring me down
But when I fall I get back up
Leading my own life
I'm only one person

Ok, so I hope you like my song lyrics. Like I said, I wrote it when I was a freshman in college at the U, 18 years old, and living away from home. Life was confusing and there was so much going on. I love my song, and I hope you do as well. :)

Life is Crazy!

So, my life hasn't been all that interesting lately. Although it has been crazy. I finished my summer semester of school and did fairly well, however I am still waiting for two of my grades because one of my teachers missed the deadline to actually submit grades. So, we'll see how that plays out and get everything straightened out for school. I have had 2 1/2 weeks off from school, and then I start back up next Wednesday. To tell you the truth I am really excited. Summer school wasn't that fun, but I love school in the Fall. I'm taking 17 credits, which includes my internship. I'm excited for my internship because my work is letting me do it along with my regular job. For 10 hours a week I will be able to get off the phones and go and help work in the legal department. I think it will be fun because it deals with corporate law, and I think this is the area of law I would love to go into. So, if all goes well I'll finish my internship in December and hopefully be hired on full-time up in the legal department. That would be a great deal for me, especially to get off the phones for good. :) Also, another stressful factor that plays into my fall schooling is that I am going to be taking the LSAT in December. So, I've ordered some books and I'm really starting to prepare. Let's hope I do good so I don't have to take it again in June. Then next August after I graduate I can start applying to Law Schools, and hopefully get into BYU Law for Fall 2010.

Along with all that that is going on, Felicia and Neil are doing all of their wedding planning. Which I have had a lot of fun seeing them plan out. We went and took their engagements all over Utah county and it was so much fun! They are so photogenic and they turned our amazingly gorgeous and cute.

Kira and I went and saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. I highly recommend it. It is a really good movie. I also read that last book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, and absolutely loved it as well. Those are a few of the things keeping my time busy. Hopefully now that my fall college life is starting back up again within the week I will have more exciting things to post. But for now, that is a short recap of my life, haha!!!

Check it out!!!

Hey everyone. It was a sweet concert with Josh Gracin, Collin Raye, and Joe Nichols. It was so much fun! Our entire family went. My little niece loved the music and dancing all over the blankets. My mom absolutely loved Josh Gracin and when he was singing in the crowd he came and stood right in front of us and walked over our blankets. My mom was slightly in shock, haha! It was cool though. My two sisters were there with their boyfriends. While they were changing the stage for Joe Nichols, a Neil Diamond impersonator came out and sang Sweet Caroline, which is one of our favorite songs from the movie Fever Pitch. Well, this is how it turned out:

Needless to say Kira and Felicia first got up and started jumping around and dancing, then Jeremy and Neil also got up and started dancing with them. Well, sort of... :)

This is what happens when Jeremy finds out that you are taking pictures of him, and instead of making the picture looks good, he sticks his butt out for you instead. Haha

All in all, that night was a lot of fun! We were all so tired and ready for bed by the time we were done that night.

The next thing that happened was that my softball season has now come to an end. My girls got to the city tournament and played their hardest. They played so well and took 8th place. Not the greatest, but not the worst either, atleast they placed and they had fun.

The weekend of July 4th we went camping up Diamond Fork canyon! It was so much fun, I hadn't been camping in quite a while and so I loved being in the mountain air. Although I did have to come down on Saturday for work which sucked, but its ok. After I got back up there Saturday night we had a bit of excitement. Me, Kira, Jeremy, and his little girl decided to go for a ride and look for Jeremy's dad. We ran into a group of people that waved us down and had someone in their camp that was hurt. We ran back to our camp and got my dad since he happened to be a Deputy Sheriff and just happened to bring along his nifty radio. When we got back to the other camp my dad assessed the situation and called down for a Deputy Sheriff, an ambulance, and fire rescue. We were about 15 miles up the canyon and it was gonna take awhile for the ambulance to get there. So, about 10 minutes after calling the ambulance my dad made the decision to call for life flight which arrived about a minute after the ambulance. And since my dad is so cool, he actually was the one to help land the helicopter. It was awesome! Kira left to take Jeremy's little girl to the bathroom, and made me stay there just to make sure Jeremy didn't come down and wonder where his car was. Haha! So, I went up by my dad and I actually got to watch him send the helicopter off. It was really exciting! So, all in all, we enjoyed our weekend on the mountain and can't wait to go back up.

That's really all that has happened so far, I'm looking forward to more adventures in July and will post them soon. As for now I have to head to work and really concentrate on finishing my summer classes as fast as I can.

Broken

Hey Everyone! Sorry its been so long since I have blogged. Two main reasons, I've been super busy with school, work, and coaching, and I haven't really had anything exciting to write about. So, I actually have a fun story now, so I figured I would blog today while I was sitting at home doing nothing because I can't go to work. :)

So, I am a softball coach. I coach 5th and 6th grade girls in Spanish Fork. I have never broken anything in my life, until now. Last night we had a game. My girls were doing really good and we were towards the end of the game. We were getting ready to start another inning and my girls were in the field warming up. I yelled at them to throw the balls in so the inning could start. I bent down to pick up one of the balls. While I was doing that one of the girls threw another ball in really hard and fast, it hit the ground, popped back up and hit me in the nose! I was kinda in shock to really feel any pain til after it hit. My nose started bleeding really bad for about 5 minutes. I took my glasses off and realized that my nose pads had cut into my nose and "lacerated" it. (I learned that word at the hospital last night :), haha). I kinda felt my nose to just feel it and heard a little crack. I was pretty sure it was broken but I couldn't be sure cuz I'd never broken anything.

My assistant coach and one of the fathers came running over and helped me to get inside the dugout and sit down. Meanwhile I told my girls to keep playing the game, no need to stop for me. Needless to say they started playing a lot harder for me because I was hurt. My neighbor Sasha came into the dugout and took my phone to call my mom. They got me some ice and I just sat there and cried. My brother came down to the park and got me because my parents were on a bike ride. I missed the last of the game, hope my girls won! On the way out of the field my parents were just getting there. So, they took me over to the hospital to get my nose checked out.

We were actually taken care of pretty quickly, I was only there for 2 hours. We went to the emergency room and filled out a bunch of information. All the nurses and doctors thought it was slightly entertaining that I was the coach and am the one that got the broken nose. That doesn't usually happen, its usually one of the softball players. We got my nose x-rayed and looked at. They said that it was cracked and broken, but not really really really bad. I have 2 sterry strips on my nose over my laceration. If, next week when I look at my nose and I feel that it isn't straight and pretty, I need to follow up with an ear, nose and throat doctor. So, we will wait a week and see what happens. As for now, I am in pain, but not a ton of pain. The doctor game me some pain medication to use when needed. I also could not go to work today because of the pain and because I am on drugs and can not drive. So, that is my interesting story. I lasted from 5 when i split my chin open, to 21 when i broke my first bone. :)

Volunteering?

Ok, I need your opinions. Last year I was a coach for little girls softball and really enjoyed it, but I had a lot of problems with my assistant coach overpowering me because she was a mother and "better" than me.

Well this year I decided to coach again with one of the parents that I became really good friends with. We haven't really even started yet, I have my team but no gear, practice was supposed to start on Friday. The night after we picked our teams my assistant coach informed me that there was a couple concerned parents about my ability to coach because I am a student and I am young. I told her that if they had a concern with me then they needed to contact me, but I haven't heard from them. She also told me that she was concerned as well, her daughter is on the team. Well, I told her I was committed and anyone that really knows me knows I am so passionate about softball. Last night she contacted me again( and just to let you know she won't call me, just text me), and told me that two of the girls I had on my team last year have been removed from my team by their parents, and that her little girl doesn't want to play anymore either so she won't be assisting me.

Now, I don't know what to do. But I really don't feel great about coaching in a city where I am not appreciated or respected. My mom told me to think about it before I do anything and that I really should go through with it, but I just don't know if I feel good about it. Also, on the side I have been offered to help coach an accelerated team this summer with another girl that is also very young, and possibly help coach a high school team in the fall. So, what do you guys think I should do?

FHE Adventure

Ok, so...my fun story of the day! I am on the FHE committee in my ward and I absolutely love it. We had our big Easter dinner today and it was a blast, but let me just tell you how my day went up unto the moment I had to get 80 tortillas to the church as quickly as possible. By the way, we did a Mexican dinner, it was make your own Cafe Rio salad. :)

Ok, so I was supposed to get off work at 6:15, but it didn't happen. I requested it and they said I could go. And then I was told that I had to wait until any rep had not had a call for 6 minutes. So, I'm sitting there for 5 1/2 minutes and I get a call. So, I still can't go. I'm supposed to really get off at 6:30, and guess what! I got a call right at 6:30. So, I'm about ready to scream, I get off the call and I run out of there as fast as I can.

So, I'm driving down the road headed to Bajio's as quickly as possible. Then all of a sudden I think, **** I forgot my phone!!! (Sorry, I was kinda upset and it just kinda came out in my car, haha). So, I hurry back to work and grab my phone and then run out again.

I'm feeling pretty good, I still have plenty of time to get the tortillas and get to the church by 7. I get to Bajio's and tell them I am there to pick up an order of 80 tortillas. The manager comes out and then says, oh I'm sorry, we totally forgot about you. So, I sit there for 20 minutes while he makes 80 tortillas as fast as he can, and he throws in a huge thing of chips and a couple large things of salsa cuz he felt bad.

So, I get the tortillas and everything into my car and drive as fast as I can without getting pulled over. I was watching for cops to and slowed down if I needed to, but yet, I was so lucky. :) I was actually driving up a highway that is 50 mph and looked down at my speedometer and noticed that I was going 80 mph and I slowed down pretty quick, Haha!!!

Anyways, happy ending! I get to the church at 7 and my ward is just getting done playing some Easter games. We got the rest of the food set up and had an awesome meal. It went over so so well. Now, if I can just get the rest of my stressful week out of the way that would be awesome! :)

Epiphany

So, I had this strike of brilliance the other day. Actually, it was more than just a realization. I once had this friend and she was pretty cool. But then, after 5 years of friendship when I was going through a really tough time and really just needed a friend, she decided that she couldn't handle it, and so she called me, yelled at me for ten minutes, and then hung up on me. She hasn't talked to me since. But anyways, thats besides the point. Here is my point. She had this song that she loved, and I might add its a really good song. It's called Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap. The words are:

Where are we? What the hell is going on?
The dust has only just begun to form,
Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling.
Spin me round again and rub my eyes.
This can't be happening.
When busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy.

Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines.
All those years they were here first.

Oily marks appear on walls
Where pleasure moments hung before.
The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this
still life.

Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won't catch me around here)
Blood and tears,
They were here first.

Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's all for the best? Ah of course it is.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's just what we need? And you decided this.
Mmm what you say?
What did she say?

Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I dont believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.

Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I don't believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.

You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.

Now, I hadn't listened to this song in quite a while. But the other day I just happened to listen to it. And I kinda realized that it described this friend of mine. The verses kinda described how I felt when all of this was all happening. But the chorus is what I really want to focus on. It's the Mmm, what you say? part. This part describes her perfectly, and I just realized it. She ditched me because she only meant well, yeah right! She ditched me because it was for the best, best for who! This is just what we both needed, well, yeah, she is the only one that decided this, I had no say!!! Hmm, What did she say??? Oh yeah, one of both of our friends told her to ditch me, and guess what, SHE DID!!! She does anything this certain friend tells her to...Haha!!!

Anyways, that was just a fun rant! I'm not mad or anything that this happened, at least not anymore. I'm doing fabulous! Anyways, you should go and watch the music video of this song, its amazing!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cpSv2mNhhc

Work

So, my new job is going really well. I took my first 3 calls yesterday and didn't totally screw them up. :) I just messed up on a couple things, but the girl who was supervising me totally saved my butt. Haha!!!

Also, there is this contest going on at work...its a weight loss contest. You can get a team together and compete against other teams to see which team can lose the most total weight...I'm trying to decide if I want to do it. I think it would be fun, and a great way to get back into shape.

School is good. I took a test last night for Law and the Paralegal. I didn't have really any time to study and so I hardly looked at my notes. I was expecting to do not very well, but I was gonna try my best. So, I went up there right after work last night and was there for about an hour. A 100 questions, most of which were application based. BLAH!!! I hate application questions. Well, in the whole scheme of things I ended up coming out with a 71%. I'm not to upset about that. I'm fairly ok with it since I didn't really study. I gotta do better next time. :)

Re-done

Ok, the website finally let me change my blog...so the background and everything is different...

New Way of Life

So, I am trying to change around my blog, but the website is having issues, so I will change it when it'll let me. Other than that...

I finally quit my previous job and got a new job. When I was still at my old job it was getting so bad that my stress was intense. I was getting cut hours and worrying about not having enough money to pay my bills. So, I started looking for a new job without telling anyone. When I found one I informed my former employment that I had found a new job, and was going to finish out my week and work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I was really relying on these last three days because of the money for my bills. On Thursday as I was heading to work they called me and told me not to worry about coming in anymore at all. I was kinda upset because I needed that money, but what can you do right? First of all, they are lucky that I didn't take them to court because it is illegal by state law to make someone quit early after they have already given their resignation. But I figured it just wasn't worth my time and stress/sanity to go through with it. So, I stopped by, cleaned out my locker, talked to my manager, and left for the last time. It was a huge relief and so much stress and burden just dropped off my shoulders when I walked out of that building.

Now I am at my new job and loving it. I had a week off before I started training. I have been in training for the past two weeks and it has been alright. We were supposed to finish training this coming friday, but our trainers have told us that we will finish today and hopefully be taking our first phone orders tomorrow. I'm so excited!!!

As for school, it is going alright. I am taking a bunch of law classes this semester. They are fairly easy though and not very stressful. I do have two important tests this week. One I'm slightly worried about because I have to take it tomorrow and am not ready. The other one I can take anytime before next Tuesday and its open book/open note. So I think I will be fine with that one.

Nothing much else is going on right now. Just trying to live life to its fullest! Work and school are busy, but there are always things to look forward to. I get to go help out with a fun Valentine's dinner tonight, and this weekend my sister is coming home to visit. So I'm pretty stoked about that. Basically that is my life right now. I will try and post more. My sis told me last night that it was time to update, so here you go fishy, its updated! Haha

Surprises

It has definitely been awhile since I have been on here. Life is crazy and throws many surprises at us, doesn't it? I am still going to school at UVSC. I am now doing a paralegal major and halfway done with my 3rd year of college. Its amazing how fast time goes. I also still work at Home Depot. Love my job most days, but it definitely has its days.

Life is interesting though. When you don't want things to happen, they all happen at the same time. I was waiting for a missionary, but he got home and decided that it wasn't right for him...it lasted two weeks. That's ok though because it was obviously not right, and so there is still Mr. Right out there somewhere for me. Don't know where though, do you? Haha, Jk! Well, life is pretty good at the moment anyways. I just have to make it through this semester and thoroughly enjoy my Christmas break, and then make it through another semester. I'll try and keep up to date on this with whats going on from now on.

Beautiful Sunday!

So, its now Sunday! I have survived the last week, although it wasn't the easiest thing in the world. Haha! Such is life! My sister asked me how life was the other day, and in my text I responded, "Boyfriend is great, school is alright, and work sucks." She texted back and said, yep, that sounds like life.

School is crazy right now. I can't seem to find a happy medium. I love school, but its so hard right now for me to get up and go to school. Thats not normal for me, if you know me. I missed three of my Business Law classes, two of my biology classes, two of my kickboxing classes, and one of my yoga classes. That is a lot to miss within a week and a half time frame. So, now I'm just trying to not miss anymore. Besides, my boyfriend made me promise that I wouldn't miss anymore. This week is going to be good because I am not going to miss anymore class. I have to do well this semester and try to bring my GPA back up.

On to the other happy things of life. Now, I drive this truck. It is a 1979 Ford Bronco. It's a pretty sweet truck, but it drives me up the wall. Half the time it will work, and the other half of the time it won't. Recently my dad just fixed it, and to start it now I have a small push button. It's rediculous to tell you the truth. I can't quite understand it. On top of that, I put $40 of gas in it every three days. Now, tell me that is what you would honestly love to do. I hate it, my money goes down the drain with that truck. I am trying to buy me a new car...but it will probably be a little while until I can. I would like either a Toyota Corolla, or a Honda Civic. Both excellent cars, and very good on gas mileage.

Whoever thought that working at Home Depot was supposed to be fun? Call me crazy, but I thought it would be. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my job. I really do. But it really sucks when you hardly get hours, and those hours you do get are cut, and then you get no respect from most of the people there, and you just wanna quit. I seriously want to get a new job where I can be in an office. I love office work. I am one of those wierd people who also really likes paperwork. I know, I really am crazy. So yeah, I don't know what I am going to do about my job, but its gotta change or I am gonna go looney.

Finally, here is a small side note. My blog is entitled Simple Chaos. You probably don't understand quite what it means. To me it symbolizes life. Life is so simple and fun, but yet chaotic at every turn we make. When I went to college my first year I was really having a hard time being away from home and certain other things that were going on. So, I actually wrote a song that is entitled Simple Chaos. I wrote the lyrics and the guitar music to it, but my best friend sings it and put the vocal to it. So, that is the reason my blog is titled what it is. In a future blog I will probably post the lyrics to my song. It's good for feedback! :)

The Beginning

Well, this is the beginning for me. Atleast on this blog. A good friend of mine showed me this, and I figured I'd try it. My name is Amber, I'm 19, and I love life! I am the youngest of 4 kids, and if any of you can relate, you know how brutal that can be. Haha!!! I am in college and I carry a pretty good schedule, besides working part-time.

This semester I am taking Business Law, Biology, Ethics and Values, American Sign Language 2, Kickboxing, and Power Yoga. It's a pretty hefty schedule, but I like it. I am one of those wierd students that really likes school. I go everyday from 8-1, and then I go to work. But, because I like school, I also have a pretty major degree I am shooting for. I am a Pre-Law. I am majoring in Geography Teaching, and double majoring in CES Teaching. I am also going to minor in Business Management.

I know that seems like a really wierd mix, or just a really odd variety, but I have reasons for all of them. And don't they tell you to something you enjoy. I want to go to Law school to become a Prosecuting Attorney in Criminal Law. My dad is in law enforcement and so I have kinda grown up with it. I love it, and I would love to stay around it. I am majoring in Geography because I really love geography. Some day I would really love to teach the subject in schools. I had a geography teacher in 9th grade that really inspired me and got me to love the subject. Although my favorite part about it would have to be maps. I absolutely love maps. I can't wait to take a cartography class (thats map making). I want to double major in CES teaching, not so much to teach it, but it would be really awesome training for me. And finally, I want to minor in Business Management because eventually when I am old and have nothing better to do, I want to open up a Bed & Breakfast.

Another thing about me, the work that I do. I work for a little company you mihgt have heard of called Home Depot. Haha! Yeah, I know that its not a little company, its actually quite big. But anyways, I am a flooring associate. I sell hardwood floor, tile floors, anything related to the previous two, carpet, closet organizers and shelving units, and also blinds. Although, I must say one of the best stories that I can tell you about my job happened last night. Now, you have to understand that I was pretty worked up about it last night, and upset. But as most may know, how can you get over something if you don't eventually laugh about it? To get tile pallets down from the overheads we use a machine we like to call the "reach". It's like a forklift, but a tall one. You don't sit down, but stand up. So, now that you got that mental image in your head, on with my story. My boss asked me to go and get some tile from outside and bring it into the store. Well, it was around 8:3o, and I was quite tired. But when I operate the reach I am pretty focused. Now, usually when I go out front with the reach I go through the lumber doors that are quite tall. But, the tile was closer to the south doors, so I figured that I would go through those ones. Now, the only problem with that is the south doors aren't tall enough for the reach. This little bit of information no one exactly wanted to share with me. So, as I am starting to head out the door, I hear a very loud noise, metal on metal. I had just happened to get the reach stuck and bend the top of the door frame in the south doors. I was pretty upset as you can guess. We got the reach back into the store and didn't get back on it for the rest of the night. Fortunately the damage wasn't bad at all, and my boyfriend who also works at the store was able to bend the frame back, and the doors still shut and locked. For the rest of my shift I worked very closely with my boss because she could tell I was upset, and luckily I wasn't in any trouble.
